Capability

Our niche is extremely high-precision machined components using difficult materials like Ultem Polyetherimide, magnesium, stainless steel, titanium, and high specification aluminum in applications where weight reduction and prior experience with similar parts is paramount.
Advanced programming and design for manufacturing for the most demanding optical bench applications. We can hold the most complex and delicate parts while meeting extreme tolerance requirements.
We have advanced metrology capabilities with numerous CMM's and offline programing capability. Our machinists are at home on the CMM doing in-process inspection and our quality team routinely executes the most challenging first article inspections.
The foundation of our partnership with key customers is our ability to make whatever complex parts they challenge us with and to deliver them on time and with peerless quality.
We have a compliment of post machining processes including blasting, tumbling, and deburring. Burr free parts for FOD free applications in optics, clean rooms, and space.

Much of the material we machine is in limited supply and subject to extended lead times, this makes our long-term relationship with suppliers in the US and abroad a key element in meeting customer requirements.
Finally, our standard setting Material Resource Planning system enables us to know where every part is at any time and provides visibility of delivery dates. It also allows us to identify the need for and effect any required expediting.

RDS is deeply experienced in turnkey management of the entire value stream necessary to deliver a finished part, including selecting, problem resolving, scheduling, and OEM approvals for many coating technologies, heat treating, and other post machining processes.
